Welcoming Our New South Florida Director!
We are pleased to announce that Vannessa Alvarez has been named the new Director of South Florida for the Associated General Contractors of America – South Florida Chapter.
Vannessa has been a vital part of The South Florida AGC team for nearly four years. During that time, she has helped elevate the chapter by launching the Build Florida Awards, coordinating high-impact member events, and creating stronger connections throughout the regional construction community.
Her leadership reflects our ongoing commitment to supporting our members with consistency, integrity, and a forward-looking vision.
As Director, Vannessa will continue to focus on:
Delivering impactful events that bring members together
Deepening our advocacy and government relations in key communities
Investing in workforce development to grow and support the next generation of builders
We also extend our gratitude to Carlos Carrillo, whose leadership helped establish a foundation of trust, growth, and engagement. We thank him for his service and lasting contributions to our chapter.
