2024 Competition Rules and Disclaimers
1. The South Florida AGC Build Florida Competition is open to general contractors and specialty contractors working as prime contractors who are current members in good standing with the chapter. All projects entered must have reached substantial completion between November 1, 2022 and November 1, 2023. Except for theme park projects, who may have reached substantial completion between November 1, 2021 and November 1, 2023.
2. Each entry requires an entry fee ($400 per entry). Each category is one entry.
3. ALL parties of a joint venture MUST be SFAGC member firms in good standing.
4. Any projects with a fatality will be disqualified.
5. Nominations must be submitted by principals or officers of firms, or with their written permission.
6. Different phases or elements of the same project may be entered independently, but not combined as another total project entry.
7. Bonus Point(s): One (1) Bonus point is awarded for each AGC Member Sub-Contractor used on the project, for a maximum of 5 points. Sub-Contractor must be a member and in good standing by February 3rd, 2024 at 11:59 PM.
8. Entries must include color photos. Photos should highlight the construction process and the finished project, including special techniques or unique conditions. Photos that are emailed in should be in JPG/JPEG or PNG format, ideally in 300 dpi resolution (for production purposes). Each file, including photos, may not exceed 5 MB.
9. You may also submit PDFs, Microsoft Word documents, or Microsoft Excel documents with your entry. Only ten (10) files (including photos) are allowed per submission. Each file, regardless of type, may not exceed 5 MB. Do not submit multiple images within the same file.
10. All entries and accompanying materials will become the property of The South Florida AGC upon submission. By submitting an entry, the entrant grants to The South Florida AGC broad, non-exclusive royalty-free license to copy, distribute, and otherwise use the entry and all accompanying materials (including materials in text, image, or other forms) in works both related and unrelated to The South Florida AGC Build Florida Awards. The entrant warrants that it has the right to grant such a license and that neither the entry nor the license infringes on the rights of any third party. Do not submit any materials to which you do not have the copyright and other proprietary rights.
